I so want to have a gracious table. "Characterized by kindness and warm courtesy." It's a dream of mine.
Growing up, our table was far from gracious. It wasn't rude or anything, but it definitely wasn't warm. As soon as we were old enough to reach the stove, we were on our own. We were like the first family EVER to get a microwave. Needless to say, my mother did not cook. So I didn't learn, until I discovered the joy of cooking for myself, as an adult. Call me crazy, but really is a joy. (Then again, if you're here at my recipe blog, you probably won't call me crazy.)
